It has felt good to get back to work with some normalcy, and we THANK YOU for the donations you have dropped off. We expected everyone’s generosity, but what has FLOORED US is the positive, resilient spirits of the customers who have come by who lost it all. ❤️ So proud of my city...WILMINGTON STRONG! FYI, We will be closed on Sunday, and back to normal hours next week, Mon-Sat 10-6. #homeagainilm #wegotthis💪 #thankyou #awestruck #wilmingtonstrong #wilmingtonnc #whatdoesnotkillusmakesusstronger @ Home Again Wilmington ... HOME AGAIN PEEPS, YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! I just visited with Todd, the head of United Cajun Navy. Their command post is located at Peace Baptist at 320 Military Cutoff, (not far from Home Again). I have a list of the most critical things they need now. You can take your donations there, or drop them at Home Again (open 12-5 thru Saturday) and we will take them. Here is what they need most urgently at this time:
They are VERY LOW on first aid supplies: band-aids, ace bandages, antibiotic cream, anti-fungal cream, complete first-aid kits.
They are low on bottled water...they only have about a half days supply left. Gatorade and juice boxes, too.
Baby supplies: larger sized diapers, formula, wipes, powder.
Hygiene products: especially women's products, and also soap, deodorant, wipes, toothpaste and toothbrushes, gold bond powder, shampoo.
Food: when at all possible, they need canned food with POP TOPS. They could also use loaves of bread...they have peanut butter, but nothing to put it on. They could also use salt n pepper packets, and disposable paper products and utensils.
They particularly need things for their workers that have been in the water all day: fresh socks, and t shirts, underwear, and dry boots.
Pet products: they are currently having to re-bag pet food into zip-locs to make it stretch.
They can also use volunteers, and are happy to put any high-school students to work.
As their logistics director explained to me, all the flooded water will eventually need to get back to the ocean. And while conditions might be fine when it is low tide, the situation can still change quite rapidly when the tide rises, and we can expect this to continue for another week at least. I’m going to drop off some food and men’s clothing and boots around 5 today. Will someone be there at Peace Baptist?

Hey I’m working at P.C.3 we can bring a load of water over if you need. Do we just bring to home again?

Why can’t Cajun army get with PCC and convoy of hope? I’ve dropped off water to Cajun navy two days in a row, and drive by PCC and they have bottles of water for as far as you can see?!

Besides food/water donations, they are in need of Band-Aids, etc, diapers, wipes, etc, pet food. Truck from Pisgah Forest there today being loaded on truck from Pender co. Very organized and drive through donations. They are feeding people, can pick up donations asa well as drop off. Also accepting clothing, betc.

Where should we drop off donations? Are you collecting Home Again Wilmington? Thx

Please let them know Coastal Massage & Spa is doing free showers this weekend! Change of clothes for men/women, tooth brushes, mouthwash, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, etc.

Lisa Joyner Fitzgerald.... maybe this is an option.

Coastal Massage & Spa has free hot showers and all amenities needed. Plus boxers/ socks and tee shirts

I have two xlarge bags of hotel toiletries that I collect on my trips (Flight Attendant). I usually drop off at new Hanover county hospitality house but I am sure they will agree to the detour this time. Will drop off tomorrow 😁

Thank you United Cajun Navy!!!

I will spread the word I can't help with supplies now but will in October. Love to all you workers & volunteers. When I can get there to help I'll be there

Thank you for letting us know!!! I will take some supplies over tomorrow!!

Louise Forbes this might be a good place to drop some of your goods!

Dropping off tomorrow! Thanks for doing this!

Whether you evacuated or stayed put, there was stress and there continues to be stress. People and animals are being rescued as we speak. We will be open 12-5 today through Saturday. We are here if you need a cold water, AC, a comfy sofa to relax on, or to charge up your batteries. And let us know how we can help you. We are making it through this together, Wilmy, just like we knew we would. Cause there’s no place like home! #wilmingtonnc #wilmingtonstrong #firstrespondersrock #debtofgratitude #howcanwehelpyou #homeagainilm #wilmy #whatdoesnotkillusmakesusstronger #neighborshelpingneighbors ...
