It is hard to get healthcare these days, even when you have every resource at your fingertips. Can you imagine how impossible it would be if you were homeless? When the very healthcare that you need could pull you out of homelessness? It’s an insidious and preventable tragedy. From personal experience with a loved one who suffers from mental illness, I can tell you it is a disease, not a lifestyle choice. My beautiful, loving and caring relative would not wish her illness on anyone. Even with the support of a loving family, finding adequate resources to get help has been incredibly hard over the years. And without access to medication, she would not be with us at all.

So in our own small way, we ask you to join Home Again in being the safety net for those in our community who need us. To lighten the load of their families, too, who desperately seek help for their loved ones, only to find that resources are slim to none. Eden Village is not a government program, nor a ‘hand- out’. Residents pay rent and must be contributing members of the community. Founded by two Wilmingtonian’s with a heart for their fellow man, the support Eden Village has already received in the community has been nothing short of remarkable.
